Blogging 101

BLOGGING 101.
Lately I've been asked by a lot of people how to get into blogging.
Just today I was asked by someone who said "I've seen you post about blogging! It looks so interesting, how do I get into it?"
Some people are generally interested in the whole Blogging situation, but some are interested in the wrong things...

Well to begin with, a lot of people only think its interesting because they see the things I get sent, the "Freebies". But they aren't exactly freebies.... In exchange for the things I get sent, I need to REVIEW the product or event. Its not just as simple as it sounds, it really does take talent.
Yes, thats right... Talent!

To be a successful blogger you need the talent to be able to write well. For me writing is a passion, so it really is a hobby for me! It also includes the need for communication skills, knowledge on brands and of course- honesty!!

Besides all of the "freebies", blogging can be very time consuming and at sometimes stressful.
When bombarded with products and events to review, you are expected too post a review not long after. A good review takes time, research and honest opinions. Sometimes to write a review it can take me up to an hour!
Taking into consideration that I also study & work part time, it can be hard to find a lot of time for Blogging.
But blogging for me is a complete hobby, I love it!
I love that people can depend on me for an honest opinion on a specific product or event.
When people come to me and ask me what my thoughts on something is, or read my reviews, its just the best feeling.
I've always wanted to be some sort of journalist or even an author, but I'm really not that confident in my writing. So blogging is the perfect opportunity to get things off of my chest and really express my thoughts on things! I have future goals, and one day I wish to take blogging full time. This goal is my why, its why I keep blogging and what makes me motivated to keep it going.

So in summary, if you're completely interested in Blogging and you think that you have what it takes, then give it a go. But my advice for you all is do not go into blogging because you think its all about the "Freebies", because you will not get anywhere.

Scentrelle is a completely new brand for me, and I was asked to review their "Reverse time face serum". 

I am not one to usually use face serums or night moisturises and thats probably why my face gets extremely dry sometimes. But I've made a promise to myself, to start looking after my face more!

Jabra Sport Pulse- First thoughts

Best of the best. 

These ear phones have blown me away.

I will let you in on a big secret;

I thought Beats by Dre were the best things ever! 

After I reviewed them I could't stop raving on about them..

But I could almost say Jabra Sport Pulse ear phones are.. BETTER. 

Yep I said it. 

Why?

Because are Beats by Dre wireless? 

Do they have in-ear heart rate monitor?

Do they track your workout?

Count your calories?

Do they have a personal app which gives you fitness tests?

My questions are endless and the answer is no.. 

Jabra Sport Pulse does all of the above and more, 

they are truly the best of the best technology. 

So I received my amazing headphones yesterday, and due to having to rush off to work I only got to play with them for about half an hour. This allowed me to set the device up and test them for a little while.

Firstly I had to pair the wireless ear phones to my mobile device (iPhone), 

which took less than a minute. I then downloaded the Jabra app, and Sport app which allow 

you to do all sorts of things with your wireless head phones. 

But before testing out all of the amazing things my ear phones could do I just wanted to simply hear the sound out of them. 

The sound that the Jabra ear phones have are just... amazing. 

They have the best Dolby Digital sounds, the world around me was completely shut off and I couldn't hear a thing! 

An thats exactly what you want when you're having a huge workout and you just want to focus on yourself and your goals. 

For now, I've just tested these ear phones, but please look out for plenty more posts/reviews on the Jabra Sport Pulse. 

I will be trying these properly on my upcoming workouts, and I can't wait to share my thoughts with you! 

HOW TO:

1. How to wear 

The earphones must be correctly fitted to enable accurate heart rate detection. If your heart rate cannot be detected, try a different esrgel size or earning. View the Fitting guide on the Jabra Sport life app. 

Select the correct eargel size

For the optimal audio experience, try each of the different ear gel sizes. The fit should feel tight and secure in your ear. Sizes are; Large, Medium, Small and extra small. 

(Same goes with selecting the correct earwig)

2. How to connect

1. Turn on Bluetooth on your mobile phone.

2. Press and hold the Multi Function button on the controller until the indicator light on the right ear bud flashes blue. Release the button.

3. Follow the voice guided connection instructions to connect to your bluetooth device. 

Charing

Pull back the EarWing on the right earphone to expose the USB charging port. It takes approx 2.5 hours to fully charge the battery.

My Hair to me is so important. I try my hardest too look after it as much as possible! But sometimes this means I need to lay off the straightener, as  it really just burns your hair and does no good. 

So this is when Sunsilks Perfect Straight comes in. A shampoo and Conditioner thats designed to leave your hair as straight as it is when its wet! You know when after a shower and your hair goes perfectly straight and you're like daaaam. But then as soon as your hair dries it goes all goofy... Its important for me to swap Shampoo & Conditioners often, but I need something that doesn't leave my roots feeling greasy straight after my hairs been washed. I've had quite a problem with this for a while, and I've been on the hunt for some good Shampoo and Conditioners.

How to use:

1) PREPARE with Straight-Lock Shampoo

Apply a coin-sized amount of shampoo (more for very long or thick hair)

• Using only your fingertips (try not to scratch with your nails), massage to a thick lather on the scalp, not the ends
• Allow the lather to gently run through the lengths of your hair to detangle from roots down
• Rinse thoroughly

2) LOCK IN with Straight-Lock Conditioner

Apply a coin-sized amount, starting at the tips and ends where it is most needed

• Avoid touching the scalp so that the pores can breathe
• Use a wide toothed comb to detangle and then rinse

Black nail polish is my thing, but then again so is matte nail polish... Put the two together and you have my favourite nail polish atm! 
Rimmel London have had some fantastic products as of lately so I was extremely excited to try their new Velvet Matte nail polish! 
The black is called "MATTE-ITUDE" 017, and Velvet Matte also comes in 4 more colours. 

But nothing else quite appealed to me more than the Matte-itude. Theirs nothing better then a black nail polish for a busy week full of events. Black literally goes with every outfit imaginable, its a life saver colour! 









So its quite obvious I was excited to try this nail polish out. But theirs a check list of things that I go through when trying a nail polish. This is the things I look out for; 

• Brush- Is the brush thick or thin, is it easy to cover the nail?
• Drying time- A nail polish that drys quick is a must.
• Chip- Simple, does the nail polish chip almost straight away?
• Coats- Is the nail polishes texture thick of really runny, how many coats do you have to apply?

When taking these things into consideration its really easy to decide whether or not a nail polish is good or not. Rimmel london always seem to tick the boxes. 

Velvet Matte Nail Polish' brush was perfect. Very thick so it covers most of your nail, and you're not having to spend heaps of time applying the nail polish. 

Drying time was probably the best factor. It dried before a minute, it was so quick. 

Chipping was probably the only thing that disappointed me slightly. I'm not sure if it was because I was very hands on at work, but after one day of having the nail polish on it had chipped quite a bit. But like I said that could just be my fault! 

As for Coats, I tend to always put 2 coats of nail polish on just to be sure. With matte nail polish its also important to make sure you have a thick coat on so its properly matte all over.

TIP: Have a look at acrylic rounded nails with Velvet Matte. My sister recently had this look and it looked amazing. She had three quarters of her nail done in Matte and then the tip (almost like a french tip) in a glossy black. Looked brilliant!!

My review on this product is extremely positive. I recommend purchasing the Velvet Matte polish by Rimmel London 100%. I love the matte look! Yes shiny is good, but matte seems to be the new fashion & you have to keep up with fashion of course...

When I was asked to have a look on the Klika website and see if anything appealed to me, I was like a little kid in a candy store.

  I love cooking and preparing food, so the knife set was a must pick! 

Surprisingly, I have never ever used ceramic knives, so I was quite excited to try.

That night I was cooking a chicken pasta dish, and the chicken hadn't fully defrosted. 

So this was a perfect opportunity to see if the ceramic knives were good or not. 

An well... They weren't good, they were great! 

The blade was so sharp and the actual knifes themselves are really light. 

I loved using them, they were absolutely fantastic. 

An to be honest with you, I haven't STOPPED using them since. 

My old knifes have found their permanent home in the bottom draw, never to be seen again. 

My favourite thing about these knifes, is they look so stylish in my kitchen. 

Unlike normal knifes, they seriously look a lot more modern & appealing. 

How pretty are they! 

As soon as I unpackaged them I had to give them a test trial. 

So I got some onion out and had to see if this blade was as good as described on the website- and it was. 

I really think I'll stay with ceramic knifes forever now.

They're quality is so much better and the fact that they don't rust is fantastic. 

An how can you go wrong with just $32.95 for a 6 pc set.
