Torquay Foreshore Caravan Park

Torquay Foreshore Caravan Park
Surfside Cabin- number 11, is where I stayed this weekend just past.
My partner and I thought it would be a lovely little getaway and a great opportunity to spend some quality time with my 3 year old niece.
My niece is the perfect behaved little girl, so it was so easy to spend a whole weekend with her.

The Torquay Caravan Park is so unique because you are literally backed up on the Torquay surf beach. I wasn't quite sure how far our surf side cabins were from the beach, but as I started walking it took me about 30 seconds to realise we were right in front of the beach.
Morning strolls, afternoon swims and night walks along the beach are what makes the holiday so perfect. Weather this weekend wasn't fantastic, it was quit chilly! But that didn't stop us from enjoying the beach, how couldn't we!?

Our actual surf cabin was perfect for 3! I would only recommend having the 6 people stay (maximum guests) if you were out and about often, as it would be quite squishy. But the cabin had a nice toilet, a small but great bathroom, a dining/lounge room, the cutest kitchen (with all utensils needed), a man bedroom with wardrobe and of course the kids room with two double bunk beds.

Heres a photo of our lovely cabin on the left, the right photo was our view towards the lake right next door. A perfect place for a morning job or bike ride.

Torquay is a lovely holiday destination, I personally think the best thing about torquay (besides the amazing beaches) is the takeaway places! Torquay has so many great places to eat, and a lot of hidden little cafes that aren't very known.
If you're not bothered by places to eat then shopping may be your thing! Surf brands like Rip Curl and Roxy, were all created in Torquay. So all of the biggest besets surf shops are in Torquay, as well as factory outlets you won't see any cheaper.

Torquay has just a lovely beach, chilled out vibe. Its honestly great for a weekend away. Whether you want to rent out your own house for a big family, or just stay somewhere a little cheaper but still relaxed at a caravan park.
For prices for the great Torquay foreshore Carvan park, have a look on their website!
Heres the beach that we are backed up on, known as the Surf beach in Torquay.

The BIG move

The BIG move...

A previous post of mine had talked about me making a big move...
After weeks and weeks of thinking, I've finally decided to make the big move! This means moving an hour away from where I am now, leaving my boyfriend, friends, and living in a country town.
Some people think its crazy, the massive sudden change. I mean moving to me isn't something small, its a huge thing. Changing your whole entire environment makes a huge impact on your life.
But this move is for positive changes, focusing on myself and my wellbeing. I am so proud of myself for making this move and, for ME.

Now currently living in the Western suburbs only half an hour from the city, I am now moving about 20 minutes out of Geelong to a country town called Inverleigh. Its such a big move because I've never lived in Geelong, and its going to mean learning the way around the huge city and surrounding suburbs.

This move is a positive change because now I don't have too pay rent, which means I can work less hours and focus on my study! Study being my first priority at the moment, as I can not afford to fail.
Downfalls of course is leaving my boyfriend. I mean an hour isn't that far away but it'll be a huge difference from just having him around the corner. But I know we will manage to work anything out, so I have a way more positive outlook on that situation.

ANOTHER BIG POSITIVE IS IM SO SO EXCITED TO PIMP OUT MY NEW ROOM.
I've become so into home decor and interior designing over the past month, I have a million ideas running through my head.
I'm thinking bright white walls, indoor plants (big and green), all white furniture and a hippie sort of feel and look. Its going to be greaaaaat!
Ikea, typo, urban outfitters, bunnings, target and k-mart are going to be my best friends.

Goodbye for now, but stay in touch as I will be writing about the outcome of the big move and showing you all my room make over at my new house.. yay!

How can this mirror get better? Well in addition its a compact travel size- perfect for on the go and can stand alone, thanks to an easel back.

A beauty bloggers must have!

I've been searching for a small desk mirror for my beauty blogging for a while now.
But they're actually usually quite pricey, and I am on a budget!
But I had the awesome opportunity to review Conairs brand new Mirror.
It really is the best mirror for on my desk, it allows me to see my face up close and personal as clear as day. It makes applying make up and especially plucking eye brows so easy.
I usually find myself leaning over my bathroom sink really close to the mirror applying my make up. But now when applying make up and especially for when I'm reviewing products, I sit at my desk and use the Conair mirror.
The lighting in my study isn't always perfect, so the light on this mirror is great!
It gives off a soft halo effect creating a beautiful, gentle glow.

Its also the best mirror to travel with. Its so easy to take apart, and its the perfect compact travel size.
Then when I'm doing my make up somewhere else, its easy to just rebuild.
Honestly, there's nothing worse then not having a mirror to apply your make up.
I've actually been in the situation where I've had too apply my make up without a mirror believe it or not my make up turned out alright, BUT it was the biggest struggle and took triple the time.
Mind you, I was camping and in a tent hahaha. But this year when I do my yearly Echuca trip, I can now use my CONAIR mirror when applying my make up :)
The best thing about this mirror is its so affordable. Compared to other mirrors, $29.95 is extremely cheap!

Have a look at me playing with my new mirror!

DOVE- Pure Care Dry Oil

Pure Care Dry Oil

My hair is so very important to me and like many others I try my best too look after it.
But when using a lot of heat on my hair (straighteners, blow dryer) & especially after summer, my hair needs that extra bit of TLC!
Its so important too use those Nourishing Treatments on your hair often, to really help damaged hair. I used to be one that never used all those products on my hair, and just kept it natural. All though, I did straighten my hair often and occasionally blow dry my hair- using those plus being out in the sun really affects your hair. After a few visits at my hair dressers I finally got the point my hair dresser was telling me every time- I NEEDED NOURISHING HAIR TREATMENTS.
Now I always leave some sort of dry oil, or leave in conditioner beside by bathroom sink, this reminds me to use it straight after I towel dry my hair.

I have tried many different dry oils but find that it leaves my hair feeling and looking quite greasy. BUT Dove Pure Care Dry Oil didn't seem to have this affect on my hair at all. Apparently the treatment uses a unique formulation that is scientifically proven to absorb quickly and deeply into the hair strands, nourishing each one internally, as well as nourishing the hairs surface to give it a shiny, silky texture without feeling greasy.

This is my hair after a few washes of Dove Pure Care Dry Oil. Hairs feeling and looking fabulous!

The product has the below key benefits;
  • Strength
  • Smoothness
  • Detangling
Directions:
For the best results, rub 3 to 4 drops between the palms of your hands and apply to clean, damp hair evenly from mid-length to ends. Blow dry or leave to dry naturally.
* Also use pre-shampoo as a nourishing treatment, or before styling to protect your hair control frizz.

I've used this product probably about 2-3 times a week for the past week, and I have already noticed a big difference. My hair drys with a lot less frizz, its so silky too touch and most of all it just feels healthy!!! I think this is what my hair really needed after being out in the sun a lot in summer, especially the harsh sun in Bali.
We often forget how much our hair really does get damaged, and how we need to really care and look after our hair. We are stuck with the one set of hair throughout our life, so look after it!

Available from: Coles, Woolworths, Priceline and selected pharmacies.
RRP: $19.95/100 ml

KATE mascara Rimmel London

KATE mascara- Rimmel London.
IDOL EYES. The first mascara by Kate Moss.
- Rock your lashes with 4 new gem-tone shades.
- Broken heart-shaped brush for voluminous lift.

Its always hard to find a mascara that you fall in love with.
For me to really LOVE a mascara its all about the brush, the texture of the mascara and how much it volumes your lashes.

My review for Kate mascara would probably be a 7/10.
I love how long it makes my lashes but I am not a big fan of the texture  brush of the mascara. The texture of the mascara makes my lashes really clumpy and thick, which is the look some people for for but not me.

When using Kate Mascara I use it as my last coat of mascara.
So when applying mascara I usually use two different mascaras. The first mascara would a be light mascara with a very thin texture, and thin brussels on the brush.
The second mascara being the thicker mascara that gives my lashes the volume and thickness.
In this case my first mascara was WONER'FULL lashes by Rimmel London also. A mascara I LOVE, and use as my first coat every day.
Its really what I like to describe as a "clump free" mascara.

KATE mascara is then good for that last finishing touch to make the lashes look incredibly long and thick. BUT I found I had to be very careful with how much of the KATE mascara I used, as its very easy to make the lashes clumpy and too thick.
Here is a before and after image that I love, it really shows the difference of my lashes.
Just remember I do have blonde eye lashes so when applying mascara its important I really cover a lll of my lashes right down to the root.

Instagram Competitions

Thoughts on INSTAGRAM COMPETITIONS.

For the social media newbs, Instagram competitions are usually hosted by companies wanting to promote their brand.
For instance, Lovisa Jewellery posted a competition the other week "REPOST TO WIN". This is where you are to repost the photo they've uploaded, follow the instagram account, tag the instagram account and hash tag #winlovisajewellery.
This is often how all of the companies will do it too, and its actually a really smart idea. In this specific competition the prize was a $200 AUD prize pack of Lovisa jewellery!

The reason the companies do these repost to win competitions is simply for promotion. Sometimes thousands of people will enter in these competitions  that means the post will be popping up in everyones newsfeed. The hash tag makes the repost even more popular and spreads the competition. Getting people to also follow the company, boosts their followers up and again, is more promotion.

Now a lot of people think that these competitions are silly and no one ever wins... But oh I am telling you people win!
Guess who the winner of the Lovisa prize pack was.... ME :)!
Yay, I am very excited and can't wait for my prize pack to arrive.

But the moral of this post is, ENTER INSTAGRAM COMPETITIONS. You can win amazing things from these competitions, an yes you can win!
I am one to often post competitions on my blog instagram, for simple things such as a re-post and you can win tickets to shows an such.
Sometimes I don't get many people at all entering, so your chance of winning is massive.
This isn't the first time I've won a competition for re-posting, I've won a huge supplement pack before as well.
My sister is one of those lucky people that wins SO much, just from entering these competitions  But I guess the more competitions you enter, the more likely you are to win one. I'm one of those people that enters every holiday and win a car competions, hahaha! I swear one day I am going to win a holiday or car.

SO pleas oh please, enter away.
I am a strong believer of Competitions :)

Bali Blogger Trip

Very exciting news for myself and my readers.
I have been thinking about another holiday to Bali sometime at the end of this year. But then I had this fantastic idea! The hidden places and that I've never visited and the beautiful retreats Bali has to offer.

I have quite a lot of knowledge on Bali but I feel as if theres plenty more to learn and I want to to become a Bali know it all.

All though I haven't set a date to when this amazing blogger trip will be happening, I know it will be sometime around September this year!
If any of my readers would like to help me, or join in please email me on evieince@gmail.com!
