The Bohemian Original

The Bohemian Original

Bring out your inner Hippie with Boho style jewellery
http://www.thebohemianoriginal.com/#!about/c1enr

The idea behind my jewellery is to connect with a persons individuality; I do this by designing bespoke jewellery- truly one of a kind pieces that carry their own 'energy', and appeal to the special person who is supposed to wear them."

I am so very pleased that I've found this wonderful brand. Angela Radke is the creative should behind this wonderful brand. Angela established The Bohemian Original not long ago in 2012, aiming to share her creative passion, her insatiable wanderlust and her love of exotic faraway places and people. Whilst creating beautiful hand made jewellery she keeps her designs eco friendly and cruelty free, by using a mixture of natural, sustainable and recycled materials.
Every item is hand crafted in her home studio, located among the stunning beaches and beautiful country of Maragaret river, Western Australia.
The Bohemian Original sell;
- Necklaces
- Rings
- Bracelets
- Raw Crystals

"The Bohemian Original is the eclectic, bohemian lifestyle. It is the quirky, natural elements of our designs.

We are for the wandering gypsies, the free spirited travellers, the endless summer."

I was extremely lucky enough to have the chance to review a hand made piece from The Bohemian Original. I chose something that jumped out to me on the website; something that appealed to my eyes. I chose the Fuchsite Boho Crystal Necklace.
The necklace is a mineral known as Fuchsite; a gorgeous, glittering emerald green stone. It is known as a stone of health and knowledge, and is said to assist in growing self worth and ba;lancing energy. It features a silver arrowhead charm, which in some Native American symbolism signifies the adventure in all of us.

The reason I love the idea behind this brand and the jewellery so much, is that its all about individuality and meaning.
There is a design to suite all different types of personalities and when one design particularly appeals to you, it has a special meaning.
For me, this piece of jewellery is about expressing my personality and bringing out the little hippie inside. I cannot wait to wear this special necklace everywhere I go! I will be flaunting it in Bali!

Our Melbourne Zoo Adventure

Our day out too Melbourne Zoo

Tip: Make sure you have a full 8+ hours of sleep the night before visiting the Melbourne Zoo. The Melbourne Zoo is a whole day activity, and when visiting with kids you will NEED your energy.
Kids tend to be a little overwhelmed and extremely excited when at the zoo; SO BE PREPARED.

When visiting the Melbourne Zoo there were a few main things that jumped out at me. Firstly, the Zoo has amazing trees, plants and just overall beautiful surroundings. Its so green and pretty that when you're visiting the Zoo you almost feel as if your in a wild, beautiful forest.
Secondly I noticed how environmentally friendly the zoo is, and the awareness they are trying to achieve. They had a few activities on for the kids to join; one of them being a phone activity. Long story short, the activity was too encourage people too recycle mobile phones! Little things like this can help the zoo in a big way.
An lastly how could I not notice the MASSIVE line. It seemed that every one in Melbourne was visiting the Zoo on Sunday.. BUT I must say, it did not take long at all to actually get into the Zoo, I was impressed.

Personally I wouldn't visit the zoo with all my adult friends, as I just think i'd get a little bored easy. It really is an amazing place to take the kids as a family. The smile on my two little nieces faces were priceless. Every animal seemed to light up there face and they were just full of joy all day.
If you're thinking of somewhere to take the kids these school holidays I would defiantly take them too the Zoo- Its an activity they won't forget. (don't forget my Zoo giveaway is still running... Two family passes to be won!)

We started our Zoo adventure off with a picnic. On the beautiful green grass in the middle of the Zoo we all sat and ate our lunch! I packed some yummy rolls, juice boxes and some naughty snacks. Of course you can purchase your food at the Zoo's take away store, plus they even have a bakery now. But sometimes I would just prefer to take a little cute picnic and eat in the beautiful garden, and how could we not when it was just a sunny beautiful day!

All together I think we walked around the Zoo for about 3-4 hours. Honestly, we didn't even get to see ALL of the animals in that time, The Zoo is huge!!!
By the time we walked around for 3-4 hours the kids plus us adults were so very tired.
It really is a whole day activity and I suggest you arrive early in the morning.
For those who are Zoo crazy and love seeing the animals all the time, I recommend getting a zoo membership.
A Zoo membership gets you access to the 3 Victorian Zoos for a whole year.
The Zoos include;
- Healsville sanctuary
- Werribee open range zoo
- Melbourne Zoo
More information can be found at; http://www.zoo.org.au/melbourne

All in all, I had a fantastic day! I lovemaking the kids happy and taking them to places that they endlessly talk about. The Zoo is an experience for the kids and they are educated while having a bunch of fun!
If you and your family would love to visit the Melbourne Zoo, Healsville Sanctuary or Werribee Open Range Zoo then enter my competiton on my previous post!
Good Luck and I hope to hear about your fantastic adventure to the Zoo :)

The most important part of the day was that the girls enjoyed themselves. They forever had huge smiles on their faces and were in love with the animals. Its really good to be able to educate your kids about animals and the environement while their young. The best bit is; they'll be buggered by the time you leave & they'll sleep aaaall the way home!! ;)

SEXERCISE THE MUSICAL

WELCOME TO SEXERCISE - THE MUSICAL
A NEW PRODUCTION FOR MELBOURNE’S NEWEST THEATRE

FRESH, FUN AND FLIRTY
NEW AUSTRALIAN MUSICAL COMEDY

WORLD PREMIERE IN MELBOURNE’S NEW ALEX THEATRE

THE STORY is placed in the fast-paced world of married professional mid-30s couple Joe (Lyall Brooks) and Sam (Nicole Melloy). There’s no place for seduction amid the juggling of school runs, work schedules and their personal exercise regimes.

Like so many things that are stretched to a breaking point, Joe and Sam are failing to deliver to each other what they used to give away so freely – time, affection, spontaneity and, of course, sex.

Well-meaning friends Tania (Lulu McClatchy), Shane (Kristin Holland) and Andy (Cameron MacDonald) try to help Joe and Sam work through their problems.

At couples’ therapy Joe and Sam take a new approach to repairing their relationship when their counsellor, Rhonda (Fem Belling), offers them a self-help book about sexercise.

Why work out as individuals when they can burn kilojoules together to stay fit and find happiness?

Sexercise – The Musical stars internationally profiled Nicole Melloy and Lulu McClatchy. Melloy was most recently seen as Georgie in the well-reviewed Spike Heels at Chapel off Chapel for Q44 Theatre Company, which she also co-produced, and as Ellie May in The Production Company's Show Boat.

Sam’s husband is Joe, played by Lyall Brooks whose recent professional theatre credits include The Parricide (La Mama Theatre), Savages (fortyfivedownstairs), Penelope and The Pride (Red Stitch), The Heretic (MTC) and Sunday in the Park with George (Victorian Opera).

Brooks and Lulu McClatchy, as Sam’s best friend Tania, team up on stage again in Sexercise – The Musical, having worked together in 2014 to great acclaim in SuperGirly: Return of the Pop Princess and Fat Pig in 2013.

Sexercise – The Musical’s stage band is led by musical director Trevor Jones and sets the pace with a lively, rocking score of tunes and the choreography is by Dana Jolly, who most recently worked on The Production Company’s Show Boat.

Medibank ICEHOUSE, Docklands

Ice Skating

located @ Medibank ICEHOUSE- Docklands.

What a fantastic day I have had today.
Sometimes all you need is some time away with your family and loved ones to rejuvenate you in a way. I was very lucky enough to receive 2 Adult tickets and 1 Child ticket to the Medibank IceHouse in Docklands. So I thought of a fantastic idea; To take my partner and my niece, as a little date!

So lets begin with parking!
We parked at the undercover parking right NEXT to the Ice house, for only $10 for a whole day. Now the benefits of this parking is that your also steps away from Harbour Town Shopping Centre that had endless attractions.

Prices;
Adult$26.00$21.00
Concession$24.00$19.00
Child 6-14 years$22.00$17.00
Child 3 - 5 years$13.00$8.00
Family (2 adults & 2 children)$80.00$60.00
Single Family (1 adult + 2 children)$63.00$48.00
Non-skate Spectator Entry$4.00
Hockey Skate Hire $7.00
Helmet & Safety-Wear PackageFREE!

NOTE TO READERS; The best decision we made was hiring a little seal slay type thing, that the little ones sit on and you hold onto the handles and push them around. Hire for one of these is $5 and totally worth it. Not only for the little ones but for the adults of course! I would not have learnt and got better at Ice skating without this, honestly. Holding onto handles and getting lots of practise made me a semi pro in the end. Hahahaha kidding, but I was able to be a lot less shaky and not have to hold onto the rails!

With a live DJ, lots of lights, a cafe, seating area for adults and watchers and lots of Ice Skating activities, this would be the perfect destination to take your active kids on school holidays.
I seem not have interest in things that I suck at, but after getting the hang of ice skating it became a lot funner! But the most important thing is that my little niece had the best time ever. Activities like such is a great way to get your kids a hobby at a young age and even keep them active. Not just for kids but families and teenagers, its a great day out for you too spend with others and have a ball (even if you do stack)

Visit the website for more information and upcoming nights that they have! For example on Saturday nights they have glow nights from 7pm till midnight. Now tell me a kid that wouldn't enjoy that, yes big kids too!

Getting a little bored from Ice Skating? NO worries, Harbour town has it covered.
With some of the best factory outlet stores, you're sure to pick up a bargain or 20.
The Melbourne Star Observation Wheel is also located in Harbour Town, so in the day or of a night time you can have a gaze of our beautiful city from up high.
Some of the best take away and restaurants are also located in Harbour town, such as; Chilli Pad, Nandos, Boost juice, KFC, Subway, Gelato and much much more.
Not satisfied yet? Did I forget you mention that Costco is located across the road.
OH wait theirs more.... Want too tired your kids out that little tiny bit more before heading home?
Harbour Town has their own section for carnival rides and attractions.
Was a fantastic way to make my little niece that little more satisfied.

A great place to take your kids and really just have a ball!
Highly recommend having a family day out at Medibank Ice House and checking out what Harbour Town shopping centre has to offer.
Rating of my day was a HIGH 8.5/10

Horrible Bosses 2- REVIEW

Horrible Bosses 2.
Rate: 5.5/10

You're possibly thinking.... Who is she to rate a movie?
BUT if you don't already know, I am a movie fanatic.
Which means often going to the movies and watching new films.
I have always had this dream to be a movie critic when I am older,
and I promise you one day I will!
There's just something about the cinemas I love;
the popcorn and pepsi of course,
the emotions you can feel with the person you go with
& the movie obviously!

I often go to the movies with my Dad, because with both LOVE watching a new movie.
But last week I went and watched Horrible Bosses 2 with my boyfriend.
We watched it at my local cinemas (melton, Reading Cinemas),
which isn't to bad of a movie theatre and plus the tickets are only $10!!
(BARGAIN)

So I was quite excited to see Horrible Bosses 2 as the first one was hilarious.
Here is the trailer.

Funny trailer right? SO I was very excited to see it, but of course...
Number 2 just wasn't quite as good as number 1.
This movie just didn't make me laugh, I mean it seemed a little too silly...
That's the only way I can explain it.
It was as if it was just sort of to unrealistic and the jokes weren't quite funny.
It's the type of movie you watch where you walk out the cinemas thinking
"I could've waited till that was in the video shop"
well online for majority of people (soz I still go video shop sometimes).

So my personal opinion would be to wait till this movie is out on DVD,
or of course online. But just my opinion!

Cafe Greco- Watergardens

Cafe Greco- Watergardens
My favourite local place to eat!

European grill. Rotisserie. Patisserie. Bar
When I'm feeling like a great feed, Cafe Greco is always on my mind. This place is so good I just had to blog about it.
I'm a bit of a bargain hunter when it comes to eating out, because I think the price of food at some places is just ridiculous.
So of a lunch time, Cafe greco is a great cheap place to eat. You get a big main meal and a soft drink of your choice for only $15!
The value is great and I love every single meal i've tried. This is the Cafe Greco lunch menu:

Its very hard nowadays to find a nice place to eat that has quality food. The type of restaurant or cafe that you'd be happy to spend a special occasion there.
The cafe has a very modern look too it, an they've considered smokers also as theirs an outdoor eating area welcome for smokers.
My service has always been good and I can't think of anything to possibly complain about.
I've never waited any longer then 20 minutes for my food too come out, and it always tastes fantastic and fresh.
Cafe Greco is located in the alfresco part of Watergardens, besides the Hoyts Cinemas. As you look out you can see the lake and gushing water, which is a really nice setting!
I will defiantly be heading to Cafe Greco for a night time dinner outing, all though the menu (not the lunch time menu) seems to be a bit pricey! But I guess you have too pay a little more for quality food.

I give Cafe Greco a 9/10
Recommending my favourite lunch time meal; Greco Chicken Pizza.
Heres a photo to get your taste buds tingling-
